Human~ Pretty self-explanitory. A human is what we are and is the main race covering Alagaësia.

Elf~ Elves are a unique species, resembling humans. The differences is that they can live for hundreds of years, they have pointy ears and they have lots of intellect. Elves usually are found in Du Weldenvarden.

Urgals~ Urgals are mutated-like creatures that usually side with the enemy force. They travel in large numbers and have a fearsome appearance.

Kull~ Kull are similar to urgals, but are more gruesome and terrifying. Even one is hard to defeat and they are usually found in sinister places

Werecat~ Werecats are rare in Alagaäsia, usually only found with magicians as familiars. They have the ability to talk some even change from cat form to human

(Wild) Dragons~ Dragons are a unique, but powerful race. But in the Inheritance series, they aren't just your typical fire-breathing monsters. In Alagaësia, they could be tied to a Rider, making the two dragon Riders and a powerful team. Wild dragons roam the Spine nowadays, but there are only few wild dragons remaining

Dwarves~ Dwarves are a peculiar race, different from the time of Eragon. They can now be stubborn, and sometimes greedy for good selling products, they currently live deep underground in the Beor Mountains, undisturbed by King Snike and his subjects
